In the Genesis narrative, we find plants, sea life and land animals bearing seed so they can reproduce.
Within God’s created order, we find the ability and responsibility to produce and reproduce.
Production is within humanity’s creative order and desire.
This is the heart of leadership at Stage 3.
3. Production Stage - (Results)
Know and do the things that give a high return.
Know what gives a high return.
Passions.
People that are passionate and have potential.
Experience.
Wisdom from others.
Do it, reflect, adjust, do it again.
Do what gives a high return.
Work with people.
Priority management more than time management.
Delegation without definition is disaster.
Energy management.
Utilize webinars.
Become a change agent and understand timing.
First of all, Christ is the change agent. So how do we partner with another, when they are at the crossroads of opportunity?
This practice can be saturated with anxiety because we rush things. It’s important to be present and trust that accomplishment will follow.
Some keys to being a peaceful change agent:
Embrace change yourself.
Pay attention to the emotions that surface during change.
Keep a clear picture of the preferred future, while maintaining flexibility.
Seek counsel from others.
Communicate clearly the change and why.
Reflect upon the changes and make adjustments.
Celebrate the opportunity.
Celebrate others in the change.
You address problems quickly. Make the difficult decisions that will make a difference.
Addressing problems in a respectful and timely manner is critical to sustaining productivity at this stage of leadership. Remember, this stage is about relationships.
Relationships are messy, hard and absolutely beautiful.
