LAVISHED
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.” Ephesians 1:7-8 NIVUK
Lavished! I have to admit, I just love the sound of that word and when we realize the radical generosity that’s found within that word, we will love it even more.
Notice what has been lavished upon us - Grace!
As we discussed in the previous devotional, God’s grace is free and available, and it empowers us. Not only that, we find that the grace of God that has been lavished upon us is the cause that produces the effects of redemption and forgiveness. God is generous and He gives more than enough. There will always be enough grace. It won’t run out. Therefore, your redemption and forgiveness will outlasts our failures and shortcomings. Take a moment and express your gratitude to Jesus for LAVISHING grace upon us.
