Revival

APRIL 24, 2016 - JUNE 12, 2016

Revival series was inspired by the recent national prayer events. Focusing some key aspects of the 1906 Azusa Revival and the story of Jesus and Lazarus in John 11, we talks about an unique opportunity for Gateway. In doing so, we recognize that the path from where we are to where God wants us to be requires maturity and understanding that "revival" is at the heart of a loving God.

This series is inspired by the recent national prayer events. Focusing some key aspects of the 1906 Azusa Revival and the story of Jesus and Lazarus in John 11, let's talks about an unique opportunity for Gateway. In doing so, we recognize that the path from where we are to where God wants us to be requires maturity and understanding that "revival" is at the heart of a loving God.

Purpose & Partnership
MAY 8, 2016

In the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead we discover several purposes for revival and how we can partner with God's heart.

Confrontation & Promise
MAY 22, 2016

Revival aka a "move of God" will confront our loss of influence, control and power issues only to lead us to a decision. Do we have faith IN Jesus or do we want to remove Jesus?

Extravagance & Offense
MAY 29, 2016

Manage earthly wealth with wisdom and trust so that you will be given "true riches" according to Luke 16. A hidden key to revival is how we live as radical givers and receivers.

Moments and Movement
JUNE 12, 2016

In John 11 Jesus is told that Lazarus is sick. He said the sickness will not end in death (v 4) and then John says that Jesus loves Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Love is at the heart of a revival; a moving of God's Spirit. But will this love encounter just be a "moment" like a vacation, and then back to the real world or will it be a string of moments connected together by understanding and stewardship that turns into a movement. The movement is motivated by love and it's focus is intimacy. We are called to be with Jesus, where He is in intimacy.
