When Paul writes in Ephesians 6 about standing it's because we are in the middle of a spiritual war. We didn't ask for it, but we are in it. The devil is after the soul of your life, but so is God. Therefore, it's important that we look at Romans 5:1-5 and learn from the progression of survival (suffering) to stability (perseverance) to prosperity (character & hope). We stand in grace, and in doing so, we rejoice in life, knowing that we are hope carriers.

People are hurting. People feel violated and the "system" is against them. In Matthew 9:35 Jesus saw the hurting, the diseased, the sick and he preached the Kingdom of God, demonstrating it's relevance with the power to heal. We are called to engage the world and it's pain with the gospel of the Kingdom. Let's looks at the ancient story of Nehemiah and extracts what it looks like to engage the "lost exiles" and help them live the redeemed life.

Christ shares a staggering parable in Matthew 13, Mark 4 and Luke 8 called, "The Parable of the Sower." It's amazing because Jesus said it's a key to understanding all the parables (Mark 4:13). In this moment Jesus is teaching us the power of God's word and how significant it is to Christ formation (Character) and Christ demonstration (Power).

Jesus concluded his sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) with a story about a wise and foolish builder. One home stood tall for the long haul and one did not. In this message we answer 3 questions, helping us learn how to "Stand Tall for the Long Haul."
