Episode 57: Courageous in Calling - Part 4

In this podcast, Lance identifies four key areas where we need to grow in our core competencies, so we can fulfill our calling and purpose.

Notes:

You were born for a purpose.

Mark Twain said, “The two greatest days of your life are the day you were born and the day you learn why.”

  1. You have a purpose.

  2. To know this purpose, know God.

  3. To fulfill this purpose, be trusting (know God).

  4. To fulfill this purpose, be courageous.

  5. To fulfill this purpose, be competent.

  6. To fulfill this purpose, know what season you’re in.

As one pastor said, “Learning begins at the place of application.”

Remember, as a leader…

  1. You teach what you know, you reproduce who you are.

  2. You can’t give what you don’t have.

  3. You can’t take people where you haven’t been.

    • Develop

  2. People Skills

    • Do you know the healthy language of your culture?

    • Do you understand why you are doing it and how?

  2. Apply what you are learning.
